Curb Appeal
July 21 – August 18
Curb Appeal highlights the charm of street artists, urban landscape photography and their counterculture creations found within the city landscapes. Gallery owner and artist, R!ch Cihlar, is reuniting with his counterpart and friend from Detroit, Jerry Shirts.
Cihlar says, “Jerry and I have always been on the same wavelength when it comes to our styles. We met over a decade ago and have stayed in touch ever since, inspiring each other with new techniques. We both cut stencils and paint on found objects. After a visit from Jerry last year, we came to the conclusion it was time to put a show together. And this is that show!”
Curb Appeal highlights pop culture imagery on found objects like metal street signs or cardboard packaging. Shirts says, “It’s always fun to push the limits of what a canvas is or is supposed to be. This exhibition will show guests that there are no rules when it comes to creating art.”
This is a must see show for any street art fan. This event will be held during the 3rd Friday events at the 78th Street Studios
This show is free and open to the public.
